Coming SoonFrequently Asked Questions
What purity level does FUNMETAL produce?
Our standard pure lead ingots are refined to a minimum of 99.98% Pb. This exceeds the typical secondary lead specification of 99.97% and meets or exceeds LME standards for refined lead.
What is the minimum order quantity?
Our minimum order is one 20-foot container, approximately 25 metric tons. This applies to both pure lead ingots and custom lead alloys.
What Incoterms do you offer?
We offer FOB Puerto Cabello, CIF (to your named port), and CFR (to your named port). Most first-time buyers start with CIF for simplicity.
How long does production take?
Standard pure lead orders are typically ready within 1–2 weeks. Custom alloys require 2–3 weeks depending on the formulation. Lead times may vary based on current demand and order volume.
Can you produce custom lead alloys?
Yes. We produce Pb-Sb, Pb-Ca, Pb-Sn, and other formulations to your target composition. Send us your spec — our metallurgists will confirm feasibility and provide a quote.
What documentation ships with each order?
Every shipment includes a Certificate of Analysis (COA), commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin, and safety data sheet (SDS). ISO certificates are available on request.
How do you ensure batch-to-batch consistency?
Every production run is smelted, refined, and tested as a discrete batch. We do not blend across heats. Each batch receives a full elemental assay using OES and AAS before it is released for shipment.
What is the transit time to the United States?
Transit from Puerto Cabello to Houston or Miami is typically 5–7 days. Caribbean ports are 3–5 days. We can provide specific transit estimates for other destinations on request.
Do you offer trial orders?
Yes. We welcome trial orders. Start with a single container (25 MT), receive full documentation, and verify our quality against your specs before committing to volume.
